WoodSpryte Arts Early Learning Adventures
This spring, Stone Valley Arts is excited to continue our WoodSpryte Arts Early Learning Adventures with art instructor Rosemary Moser. Literacy-based creative learning adventures for the very young! Students read high-quality engaging children’s stories, then bring them to life through the arts–visual art, music, movement, drama–as well as activities in science, cooking, gardening, history, social & emotional learning, & more!
Classes are offered Fridays from 9:30 – 10:30 am in Withey Hall at the Green Mountain Community School Campus until 4/14. The last 2 classes will take place at Stone Valley Arts. Cost per student is $12 a class.
April Classes include:
4/7 Seven Eggs—Lots of different kinds of creatures lay eggs, but we’ll paint with eggs!
4/14 Sometimes I Feel Like a Mouse—Puppets will help us explore and find language for our feelings.
4/21 Mud!—Mud season means mud play!
4/28 The Big Orange Splot—Mr. Plumbean inspires all of his neighbors—and us!—to create our own dream houses.
Rosemary Moser has been educating young children in settings such as infant, toddler, & preschool programs, afterschool programs, summer camps, arts centers, and summer school programs since 1984. For twelve years she was a Start With the Arts visiting artist/instructor with VSA-Vermont (now Inclusive Arts Vermont), during which time she discovered her passion for offering learning experiences of all kinds linked to great children’s literature. She has been a homeschool parent, a volunteer for Prevent Child Abuse-Vermont, a Vermont Extension Master Gardener and Master Composter, enjoys cooking, gardening, performing in plays, and lives in Middletown Springs, VT with her husband, dog, 3 little birds, and a flock of chickens & ducks.
